EXPO - Oxford

EXPO was an independent organisation for contemporary music and arts based in Oxford, co-curated by DPhil candidates; Nicholas Moroz and Jonathan Packham, that aimed to integrate artists and audiences from both University and local backgrounds.

The debut 2018-19 series of EXPO was based at the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building (JdP) at St Hilda’s College, and offered several multidisciplinary contemporary performance events that connected University students and staff from different faculties and degree levels. EXPO’s open and inclusive platform supported graduate research (especially practice-based research degrees), stimulated interdisciplinary thinking in research and creative practices, whilst offering attractive and accessible public events that engage a diverse array of local audiences from across Oxford, and particularly East Oxford in the vicinity of St Hilda’s College.

EXPO’s 2018-19 season was generously supported by EMPRES, St Hilda’s College Research Committee and TORCH’s Public Engagement Fund.
